- ON HOME MATCHDAYS BOOKINGS CAN BE MADE DOWNSTAIRS AT THE BACK PAGE BEFORE & AFTER ALL MATCHES.
- MEMBERS ARE REMINDED THAT THERE IS STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON THE COACHES AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEARCH ANY BAGS THAT PASSENGERS MAY BE CARRYING. ANYBODY FOUND WITH ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE ON THE COACH JOURNEY & WILL BE THROWN OUT OF THE TRAVEL CLUB. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO ANYBODY FOUND WITH ALCOHOL, EVEN BEFORE BOARDING THE COACH.

Who We Are
Back Page Travel was formed in 2004 by Business Partners and Newcastle United fans Mark Jensen and Mick Edmondson and has been transporting Newcastle United fans safely to all League and Cup matches in the UK in comfort and style at very competitive prices since. The company which is a sister company of ‘The Back Page Shop’ prides itself on running a professional and friendly service has grown rapidly in a short space of time with new members joining on a daily basis, with already over 6,600 life members. We hope to continue to grow and transport supporters for many seasons to come and we welcome any new members who wish to travel to Newcastle United matches in the future. We are an Independent company and are in no way connected with Newcastle United Football Club.
New Members - How to Join
You must be a member of Back Page Travel to travel with us.
All new members wishing to join must call in person to our shop premises located in Newcastle City Centre at 56, St Andrews Street which is near St James’ Park, the road which links Newgate Street and Stowell Street (China Town). A map of our location is available below. You don’t need any proof of identification but must fill out a simple application form which takes about a minute; we need email addresses where possible and contact phone numbers and addresses. We ask all supporters to read the Rules before they join so that they can decide whether Back Page Travel is for them or not. No alcohol can be consumed or carried on our coaches at anytime as this is illegal. A charge of only £3 makes you a member for life. The staff and management have the right to refuse anybody membership, just as they have the right to withdraw anybody’s membership without having to give reason at any time. Under these circumstances no refunds will be available.
Match Tickets
You must obtain your Match tickets from Newcastle United or from another source as we only arrange travel and have no involvement with tickets whatsoever. All ticket information, prices and deadlines for away matches can be found in the Official Match Programmes weeks in advance, the official website nufc.co.uk or the very popular fans website nufc.com. Please don’t contact us about Match tickets. Please note that we don’t under any circumstances give refunds on travel to any persons who’ve been unable to get a Match ticket.
What to expect on a typical journey.
We are in partnership with the North East’s Premier and largest coach company; Classic Coaches whose coach fleet is second to none who also transport Newcastle Uniteds first team squad. All our Coaches are modern luxury coaches whether they are 49, 55 or 73 seater and the vast majority have toilets and DVD/Videos fitted. On the rare occasion there maybe a problem with the DVD/Video but we try our best to bring you entertainment where possible. The Coaches leave from Barrack Road in Newcastle City centre, before heading South and picking up firstly at Washington Services then at Durham Services near Bowburn just off the A1, before making our last pick up at Scotch Corner on the slip road. Please note that you must make us aware of your pick up point when making the booking otherwise we will automatically think that you will be boarding in Newcastle city centre. Depending on the length of the journey we stop off at a designated service station at least once on the journey to the match, where you are given time to use the toilet and catering services and to stretch your legs. We fully comply with all Police procedures and requests but still manage to get you to the ground about 2 hours before kick off dropping you off near the ground where you will be picked back up at the end of the match. At the end of the match you must immediately return to the Coach and sit in the same seat as you did on the way down. After the match we travel directly back to Newcastle, dropping people off at the place where they got on. Please note that we don’t make any other stops on the return journey. When on arriving in Newcastle city centre you get dropped back on Barrack Road.
Make sure you know your travel membership number when making a booking.
It is important that you are aware of which coach you are booked on and that you know the time of departure.
On booking you must make us aware of your departure point if leaving from Washington or Durham services.
No Alcohol allowed on board any of our Coaches.
